Further to the announcements dated 2 September 2022, 4 October 2022 and 8 January 2024, the Board of Directors (“Board”) of Boustead Heavy Industries Corporation Berhad (“BHIC” or “the Company”) wishes to announce that on 8 February 2024, the High Court of Malaya at Kuala Lumpur allowed BHIC’s and BHIC Defence Technologies Sdn Bhd’s (“BHIC DT”) application to strike out the claim brought by Contraves Advanced Devices Sdn Bhd (“CAD”) and Contraves Electrodynamics Sdn Bhd (“CED”) against BHIC and BHIC DT with costs of RM15,000.00 to be paid personally by Sylvia Sinniah to BHIC and BHIC DT. The Judge also allowed (Dr.) Salihin Abang’s (“Dr. Salihin”) and Vice Admiral Dato’ Syed Zahiruddin Putra Syed Osman’s (Retired) (“Dato’ Syed Zahiruddin”) application to strike out the claim brought by CAD and CED against them with costs of RM15,000.00 to be personally paid by Sylvia Sinniah to Dr. Salihin and Dato’ Syed Zahiruddin.
