KUALA LUMPUR: The Real Estate and Housing Developers' Association (Rehda) Selangor aims to capture at least five per cent of the total RM4.8 billion worth of properties set to be showcased at the upcoming Malaysia Property Expo (Mapex) Selangor 2024.

"We are targeting more, but 5.0 per cent will be a conservative figure. We are the biggest branches, so there are a lot of big developers, and good properties that we can expect to be exhibited at the expo," said Rehda Selangor chairman, Datuk Zaini Yusoff.

Zaini is confident in achieving this target, especially with 11 property developers, including Lembaga Perumahan dan Hartanah Selangor (LPHS), participating in the expo. 

These developers comprise Mah Sing Group Bhd, Malton Bhd, Glomac Bhd, Chin Hin Group Bhd, Hillcrest Gardens Sdn Bhd, KLK Land Bhd, Platinum Victory Development Sdn Bhd, and Trinity Group Sdn Bhd.

The showcased projects will span various prime locations, such as KLCC, Bangsar, Ampang, Bandar Kinrara, Bukit Jalil, Bangi, Kepong, Jalan Kuching, Puchong, Salak Tinggi, Seri Kembangan, Setapak, and Sungai Buloh. 

The expo will feature about 9,000 units of properties, including serviced apartments, condominiums, double-storey terraces, semi-detached houses, two-storey cluster homes, and office suites.

LPHS will showcase properties priced below RM250,000 per unit, while other offerings will range up to RM2.5 million per unit, Zaini said during the Mapex Selangor 2024 press conference held on Monday.

Mapex Selangor 2024 is scheduled to take place from April 26–28 at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, featuring dialogues covering topics such as the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) programme, tax filings, property hotspots, and opportunities for homebuyers.
