Kamal Khalid to lead country’s largest media group after major boardroom shuffle

Major boardroom changes in Media Prima Bhd this week have finally ended months of speculation of a management shake-up at the helm of Malaysia’s largest fully integrated media group.

The shake-up will see Media Prima Television Networks chief executive officer Datuk Kamal Khalid (pic) as the group’s new managing director effective Aug 2, replacing Datuk Seri Amrin Awaluddin who has been redesignated as executive director effective Aug 1.

TH Plantations Bhd deputy chairman Tan Sri Ismee Ismail will also succeed Datuk Seri FD Iskandar as the new group chairman effective by the end of this month.
