PETALING JAYA: Medicine and medical equipment suppliers to the government are poised to be the main beneficiaries in the healthcare industry following several announcements by the government in Budget 2019 that was announced last Friday that will see more allocations provided.

Pharmaniaga Bhd , the largest listed integrated pharmaceutical group and the main supplier of medicine to the government at the public hospitals and clinics, will be the beneficiary of this move by the government.

As Budget 2019 was being announced near market close on Friday, the company’s stock saw a sudden interest and rose by 2.21% or 6 sen to RM2.78 per piece on 5,900 shares.
