Wintoni names ex-TM vice president as chairman

KUALA LUMPUR (July 8): ACE Market-listed company Wintoni Group Bhd has appointed Abdul Latib Tokimin as its new chairman with effect from today.

Abdul Latib, 62, started his career with Telekom Malaysia Bhd in 1982 and had served in various departments before leaving in 2011, after serving as vice president for six years since 2005.

He subsequently served as a consultant for numerous companies, including Televenture Global Network and BT Telconsult. He also joined TFP Solution Bhd as its CEO from November 2018 to December 2019.

Currently, Abdul Latib is a director of TeleTx Ventures Sdn Bhd and DWL Gold ventures Sdn Bhd. He is also an associate director at City Labs based in Petaling Jaya and a senior advisor at 3DOM Asia Pacific in Singapore.

He holds an MBA from Henley Management College, London and Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Huddersfield University, England.

Wintoni, a Practice Note 17 company, is a business solution provider involved in the e-commerce business and consultancy services.

The company reported a net profit of RM3.08 million for the first quarter ended March 31, 2020, against a net loss of RM30,000 a year ago, as revenue improved to RM4.92 million compared to zero income previously.
