Never compare to rich US or EU government n those airlines of developed countries with Airasia .... Singaporean government also has injected more than SGD6- 8 billion into Singapore airline n national airlines can get aid from their government n AA only has the advantage of cheapest cost n Tony, that is why he need to bring in 1-2 billionaire to jump start the problem of burning more than 300/400 m per month ...
Why would anyone even buy Airasia? It is in a massive negative equity position, after Q1, the hole will be even bigger. I doubt danajamin will even approve the loan guarantee because of AA's balance sheet. The only way to go is to have a massive rights issue.
as long as the pandemic still ongoing, it is going to stay negative. I also no job ma , no tourists no travellers.. will take at least 4 years to recover to pre pandemic era
