KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 4): Based on corporate announcements and news flow today, stocks in focus on Monday (Oct 7) may include Top Glove Corp Bhd, AirAsia Group Bhd, AirAsia X Bhd, Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd, Prestariang Bhd, Icon Offshore Bhd, Sentoria Group Bhd, Serba Dinamik Bhd, Sime Darby Plantation Bhd, MISC Bhd, Seremban Engineering Bhd, Anzo Holdings Bhd and LTKM Bhd.

The world's largest rubber glove manufacturer, Top Glove Corp Bhd, has earmarked RM600 million as capital expenditure (capex) for the financial year ending Aug 31, 2020 (FY20).

The glove manufacturer spent RM461.77 million in capex in FY18 while for the just-ended FY19, it allocated RM632.17 million.

AirAsia Group Bhd and its long-haul affiliate AirAsia X Bhd (AAX) have filed yet another lawsuit against Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) for loss and damage allegedly caused by negligence at klia2.

The lawsuit, naming MAHB's wholly-owned unit Malaysia Airports (Sepang) Sdn Bhd (MASSB) as defendant, was filed at the High Court here on Wednesday (Oct 2), this time claiming RM479.78 million.

Prestariang Bhd, the sole Microsoft licensing solutions provider for the Malaysian Government, today unveiled three components under its master licensing agreement (MLA) 3.0 with the Finance Ministry to encourage digital transformation in the public sector.

The group said the RM222.6 million MLA 3.0 is an extension and renewal of the MLA 2.0. Prestariang said the MLA 3.0 is for a period of three years from Feb 1, 2018 till Jan 31, 2021.

Icon Offshore Bhd has secured an RM36 million contract from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd to provide an offshore support vessel for petroleum arrangement contractors’ production operation.

Sentoria Group Bhd, property developer and operator of Bukit Gambang Resort City in Pahang, has proposed to raise up to RM16.62 million via a private placement.

Sentoria said proceeds from the proposed private placement will be used for working capital.

Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd deputy group managing director and non-independent executive director Datuk Awang Daud Awang Putera has been redesignated as a non-independent and non-executive director.

Sime Darby Plantation Bhd has joined forces with global non-profit organisation Conservation International to help map a sustainable future for palm oil.

The two sides will work to further build sustainability into the core of Sime Darby Plantation's operations and supply chain, and to identify opportunities to deepen the impact of its interventions across the sector.

MISC Bhd had reportedly sold two seven-year-old chemical tankers, namely the Bunga Lotus and Bunga Lucerne, to Vietnam-based shipping company FGAS Petrol for just under US$33 million (about RM138 million).

The offer price of 50 sen per Seremban Engineering Bhd share as part of a mandatory general offer (MGO) by MIE Industrial Sdn Bhd has been deemed fair and reasonable by KAF Investment Bank Bhd (KAF IB).

Anzo Holdings Bhd’s RM153 million construction contract in Melaka has been terminated, citing “financial challenges” as reason.

Anzo said the contract involved turnkey design, approval, build and delivery of 120 units of service suites, 24 units of SPA villas, basement consisting of 670 car park bays, 135 motorcycle parking bays and ancillary services, external facilities and services including roadways, sewerage, water reticulation, river embankment and riverfront boardway and landscape being part of the Porto De Melaka Hotel and Resort Development in Melaka.

LTKM Bhd has redesignated its managing director Datuk Tan Kok, 68, as executive chairman.

Its non-executive chairman Datuk Ir Kamarudin Md Derom, 61, meanwhile, has been redesignated as a non-independent director.

The group also appointed Tan’s daughter-in-law Loh Wei Ling, 38, as executive director, and Mok Kam Loong, 55, as an independent director.
