The board of directors of Lien Hoe Corporation Berhad (“the Company”) wishes to announce that on 29 July 2025, the Company received notices of assessment from the IRB for the years of assessment 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 amounting in aggregate to RM1,395,743.07 inclusive of surcharges.

The additional taxes and surcharges are imposed under section 140A of the Income Tax Act in relation to deemed interest income.

This additional income tax payable will be recognised in the financial statements for the three-month period ended 30 June 2025. It is expected to negatively impact both net asset value and earnings by 0.42 sen per share for the financial year ending 31 December 2025.
