The Board of Directors of the Company (“Board”) wishes to announce the appointment of Dato’ Dr. Subrahmanyam Balan (“Dato’ Dr. Balan”) as the Advisor with effective 1st September 2025. 

Dato’ Dr. Balan's primary role is to act as Medical/ Clinical Advisor for Sancy and its subsidiaries (“Sancy Group” or the “Group”) to identify business prospects for the Sancy fleet of solutions and potential investment or equity opportunities for the Sancy Group. His appointment reflects Sancy’s commitment to strengthening its expertise and positioning the Company for future growth. 

Dato’ Dr. Balan, a Malaysian, age 68, holds Professional Degree (Bachelor of Medical & Bachelor of Surgery) from Kasturba Medical College (Mysore University, India), Specialist Degree (Masters in Anaesthesia) from University Kebangsaan Malaysia, and Sub-Specialty Degree in Cardiac Anesthesia & Perfusion Australia from Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Institute Jantung Negara and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, New South Wales, Australia. 

Dato’ Dr. Balan began his medical career in 1984, undergoing his housemanship at Melaka Government Hospital. Between 1986 and 2019, he served professionally in various healthcare institutions, including Alor Setar General Hospital, Kuala Lumpur Hospital, Institute Jantung Negara, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital at New South Wales, Australia, Penang General Hospital, Hospital Sultanah Aminah, Johor Bahru, and Monash Medical College. 

At present, Dato’ Dr. Balan is the Chief Consultant Anaesthesiologist to HM Sultan Johor and Head of Istana Johor Medical Services, and a Consultant Cardiac Anaesthetis at Cardiothoracic Unit, Hospital Sultanah Aminah, Johor Bahru. 

Dato’ Dr. Balan has over 40 years of extensive experience in the medical service and having specialization in General and Regional Anaesthesia, General Intensive Care, Acute Pain Service, Cardiac Anaesthesia, Thoracic Anaesthesia, and Cardio Pulmonary Perfusion.
