| Working experience and occupation | Ms Tay Seok Kian ("Ms Tay") began her career in audit in 1992 with a Singapore firm, followed by a broad-based finance role at Coopers & Lybrand (PwC) from 1993 to 1996. In 1997, she transitioned into internal audit at Sara Lee Asia Pacific, and was later promoted to Regional Human Resource ("HR") Manager.
In 2001, she joined Citibank N.A. as Vice President, HR (Asia Pacific), focusing on leadership and talent development. Her career advanced further in 2004 when she became HR Director, Asia Pacific at Exel Asia Pacific (now DHL), overseeing all HR functions and a large regional team.
From 2005, she held senior HR leadership roles at Aviva Asia Ltd and later at Edwards Lifesciences Asia Pacific, where she rose to Senior Director, HR, responsible for strategic HR initiatives across the Asia Pacific, including talent development and succession planning.
Ms Tay has been serving as Vice President, Region Head of HR for International Operations at Haleon PLC / GSK PLC / Novartis AG since September 2013, overseeing the full spectrum of strategic HR business partnering.
From 2015 to 2017, she led the creation of Global HR Operations for Asia, supporting all business and functional units across 16 countries in Asia Pacific. In 2017, she took on the role of Vice President, Executive Compensation Strategy & Governance, managing compensation for GSK's Corporate Executive Team and Board Directors. She also led HR for Asia Pacific Consumer Healthcare as VP, HR Business Leader.
She is also member of The Singapore Human Resources Institute, The Singapore Institute of Directors, The Institute of CPAs - Singapore and The Institute of CPAs - Australia. |
