| Working experience and occupation | Dato' (Simon David) Leong Sai Mun brings over 30 years of experience in engineering, construction, and property development. As a trained Electrical & Electronics Engineer, he was awarded the prestigious Chevening Scholarship by the UK Government in 1991. He graduated among the top of his class with First Class Honours and received the Sir Bruce White Prize in 1994. He also holds an MBA from the University of Hull. He founded Rivertree Group in 2003, which has grown from a subcontractor into a design-and-build turnkey contractor and subsequently evolved into a niche property developer. Rivertree is recognised for its bold and distinctive developments across industrial, commercial, and residential segments, including the "UNO by Rivertree" brand of lifestyle, sports, and community hubs. In 2023, he co-founded Q Centre Group, a leading operator of Centralised Labour Quarters (CLQ)/Purpose-Built Workers' Accommodation (PBWA) in the Klang Valley. Q Centre has become one of Malaysia's most progressive CLQ operators, known for its ESG-compliant and technology-driven management systems, and has recently launched Malaysia's first AI Intelligent CLQ. Dato' Simon is a strategic and hands-on entrepreneur, recognised for his innovative approach to problem-solving and his focus on long-term value creation. |
