| Working experience and occupation | Dr. Badrul Hisham has over 25 years of experience in internal auditing, risk management, and corporate governance across the banking, capital market, and corporate sectors. His career encompasses leadership roles in both public-listed and government-linked companies, where he has been instrumental in strengthening governance frameworks and implementing risk-based audit methodologies. He began his career with Arthur Andersen & Co., gaining broad exposure to statutory audits, corporate recovery, and due diligence across multiple industries. He later held senior positions at Affin Investment Bank Berhad, Chemical Company of Malaysia Berhad, Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad, Bursa Malaysia Berhad, and Bank Rakyat, where he served as Chief Internal Auditor. Dr. Badrul has also contributed as Independent Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chairman for several public-listed companies, including Puncak Niaga Holdings Berhad and Utusan Melayu (Malaysia) Berhad. In addition, he serves as an Adjunct Lecturer with local universities and frequently speaks on topics related to internal audit, risk management, and corporate governance. |
