Melvin Lim is a Chartered Architect with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Architects Registration Board (UK) since 2007. With over two decades of experience across the United Kingdom and Southeast Asia, he has built an extensive portfolio in architecture, masterplanning, and corporate development. A graduate of the University of Greenwich, United Kingdom (1999), his foundation in design and innovation continues to shape his professional philosophy and leadership approach.

He began his career in the UK in 1999 with several leading design practices before joining Barton Willmore (now Stantec), one of the UK's foremost planning and design consultancies. In 2012, he established BWLIM International Sdn Bhd in Malaysia, introducing the design culture and discipline of Barton Willmore. The firm was rebranded as Mun Shung & Partners (MSP) in 2018, evolving into a regional multidisciplinary consultancy recognised for merging design innovation with commercial strategy.

Under his leadership, MSP has delivered award-winning masterplanning, hospitality, and mixed-use developments across the region. His projects emphasise creativity, technical precision, and business viability, reflecting a balance between design excellence and commercial foresight. Melvin has also served on the boards of several public-listed companies, providing strategic direction and design oversight for property development and construction portfolios.

MSP's works have been featured in Asia Outlook Magazine and LuxLife UK Magazine, and have earned multiple international accolades, including the Asia Pacific Property Awards for Best Office Interior (2024), Best Mixed-Use Architecture and Best Hotel Architecture (2020), the LuxLife UK Award for Kuala Lumpur's Leading Multidisciplinary Practice (2019), and the SME Award for Malaysia's Fast Moving Companies (2018).
