Dato' Ng graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (First Class) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), where he was a Rector's List scholar and emerged as the Top Ranked Student (No. 1 out of 513 students) in the Faculty of Law. He was awarded Best Student in Company Law and Best Oralist in the IIUM Mooting Competition. Dato' Ng also represented IIUM in the prestigious International Maritime Law Arbitration Moot Competition (IMLAM) held at the University of Sydney, Australia, where he earned international recognition for his advocacy skills. He subsequently obtained his Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of Malaya in 2012, with a focus on corporate governance.

Dato' Ng began his legal career in public service as a Federal Counsel with the Attorney-General's Chambers (2008-2010) and later as a Prosecuting Officer with the Securities Commission Malaysia (2010-2012), where he was engaged in significant regulatory enforcement, commercial crime and corporate fraud cases. He was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2010 as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.

He has also served as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Stone Master Corporation Berhad (2017-2019), bringing valuable insights into corporate governance, shareholder protection, and risk management.

Dato' Ng is a published author and thought leader in the legal fraternity. He co-authored the book "Know Your Rights: Surviving the Legal Maze in Malaysia" (2012) and has written a thesis on corporate governance in minority shareholder protection. He has also contributed numerous articles on legal and governance issues in INSPIRE, a business journal of the Women's Institute of Management Malaysia.

Dato Ng Boon Siong is the son of Mr. Ng Kau, his former Alternate Director.
