Reference is made to the Company’s announcement dated 11 December 2023 in relation to the Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) entered into between Benua Hijau Sdn Bhd (“Benua Hijau”), a 51%-owned subsidiary of Straits, Management Council of Terengganu State Parks (“MPTN”) and Setiu Land Office (“PTS”) for the reforestation of degraded Gelam forest.

Benua Hijau, MPTN and PTS shall be collectively referred to as “the Parties”.

The Board of Directors (“the Board”) of Straits wishes to announce that MPTN has no objection in principle to the proposed extension of the MOU, which is due to expire on 10 December 2025.

The Parties are currently pursuing the terms and conditions under the proposed extension of the MOU and/or to formalise an agreement in due course to ensure all parties are aligned to support the continued implementation of the project activities effectively.

The Company shall continue to provide further updates to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Malaysia”) in accordance with the ACE Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia.
