| Working experience and occupation | She started her career in 1985 with Ganendra Ahmad & Associates, where she served as Principal-In-Charge. Her career development led to a directorship at Minconsult Sdn Bhd (1994-2019), where she gained a wealth of experience through projects in various engineering fields, including Power and Energy, Port and Reclamation, Structures and Bridges, Highways, Transportation, Railway, Infrastructure, Water and Wastewater.
She was a member of the Construction Industry Development Board ("CIDB") (2016-2020), being a member of the Board of Directors (2016-2018), a member of the Audit Committee (2016), and a committee member of the Construction Industry Transformation Program (2016-2020). A member of the World Federation of Engineering Organisation (WFEO) (2012-2014), executive council, and a member of the Standing Committee for Women in Engineering (WIE) in 2012, a committee member of "Wanita Industri Binaan Malaysia (WIBM)" (2017-2019). Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee of the Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (ACEM) (2020); as for the Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM) she was a committee member of the Scale of Fees Committee (2010-2013), and in 2023 was also a committee member of the Integrated Building System Committee, Road Safety Auditor and Traffic Impact Assessor, and the Chairman of the Working Committee for Dialogue with the Ministry of Finance. As for Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), she was first chairperson of the Graduate and Student Section (1989-2000), secretary and treasurer of the Highway and Transportation Engineering Technical Division (1993-1994), council member (2007-2009, 2014-2015), executive committee member and Vice President (2009-2011), committee member on Corporate Affairs (2015-2016), advisor to the IEM's 2nd International Conference of Women in Science, Engineering and Technology (WISET 2018) (2017-2018) and member of the Disaster Risk Reduction Advisory Board (2020-2022). |
