The Board of Directors of KJB wishes to announce that a fire incident occurred at one (1) of the 2 factories operated by GRP Sdn Bhd (“GRP”), an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, located at Lot 9, Solok Sultan Hishamuddin 7, Kawasan Perusahaan 20, Selat Klang Utara, Port Klang, Selangor Darul Ehsan.

The fire incident occurred in the afternoon of Thursday, 29th January 2026. The incident did not result in any major casualties or injuries to the workers at the factory, aside from one (1) minor non serious injury that required outpatient treatment at a nearby hospital.

The affected Factory 1 is principally engaged in the manufacture of adhesives, sealants and coating products. The cause of the fire incident is currently under investigation. As such, the Group is currently unable to ascertain the extent of damage to the machineries or plants in the factory, and to determine the financial and operational impact arising from the incident.

The Board wishes to inform that the plant & machinery and other assets of Factory 1 are covered under the Group’s insurance policies, and the Company has notified the insurers accordingly whilst the landlord of Factory 1 which owns the land & building is also covered under their own insurance policies.

In the meantime, the Group has implemented the necessary mitigation measures under GRP including relocating to a nearby premises and outsourcing of orders to contract manufacturers to address the temporary disruption to production under Factory 1. The trading business segment of GRP continues operations with minimal disruption.

The Company will make the necessary announcements on any material developments in relation to the above matter in due course.
