We refer to the announcements dated 19 August 2016, 21 September 2016, 2 November 2016, 8 November 2016, 18 November 2016, 22 December 2016, 19 January 2017, 24 January 2017, 13 February 2017 and 13 February 2024 in relation to the Disposal ("Announcements"). Unless otherwise defined, all expressions used in this announcement shall carry the same meaning as defined in the Announcements.
The Board of Directors of Ekovest Berhad ("Ekovest" or "the Company") wishes to announce that the Company has obtained the approval of the Employees Provident Fund Board ("EPF") for an extension of one (1) year of the Extended Exit Date under the Shareholders' Agreement to 12 February 2027 ("Extension"). The Extension is intended to facilitate and implement the exit plan for EPF and the Company.
For information, the Company and EPF are currently evaluating various viable options to implement the exit event or any alternative plan, in the best interests of the parties.
The Company will make the requisite announcement should there be any material developments in respect of the above.
