Gadang is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Gadang Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd, had on 23 February 2026 accepted the Letter of Award for the sum of RM95,138,832.40 from AFA Construction and Engineering Sdn Bhd, as a contractor, to undertake to construct and complete the earthwork and other associated works for Package 1A: CH19200-CH25764 in the project known as “Proposed Widening of Kuala Lumpur - Karak Highway From KM19.20 To KM39.00 (Section 1) and From KM39.00 To KM64.50 (Section 2)” (“the Contract”).
The Contract is for a duration of eighteen (18) months and is scheduled for completion in the second half of the year 2027.
The Contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of Gadang and its subsidiaries (“the Group”) during the Contract period. The risks associated with the Contract are mainly normal operational and execution risks, which the Group would address with appropriate measures.
None of the directors or major shareholders of Gadang, or persons connected with them, has any interest, whether direct or indirect, in the Contract.
