Datuk Seri Kamaludin has close to 42 years of distinguished services with the Attorney General's Chambers ("AGC") and the Malaysian Judiciary.

A Bank Negara Malaysia ("BNM") scholar, he began his career with BNM in 1983 as an Administrative Officer in the then Capital Issue Committee ("CIC"), before being called to the Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. After a period in private legal practice, he joined the Government of Malaysia in 1987 as a Magistrate in Batu Gajah, Perak, and subsequently served in the Civil Division of the AGC.

Datuk Seri Kamaludin later held senior legal advisory roles at the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Youth and Sports from 1994 to 2001, before returning to the AGC as a Deputy Public Prosecutor in 2001. In 2008, he was appointed the Head of the Appellate and Trial Division of the AGC.

He was subsequently appointed Judicial Commissioner in 2012, confirmed as a High Court Judge in 2014, and served in Kuala Lumpur, Malacca and Seremban. In 2018, he was elevated to the Court of Appeal, where he also served as Chairman of the Court of Appeal Panel. He retired from the Judiciary in 2024.

Datuk Seri Kamaludin is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director in Matrix Concept Holdings Berhad, a company listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
