Cash Settlement Amount = Number of HSI-PWLY x (Exercise Level - Closing Level) x (1/Exercise Ratio) x Multiplier x Settlement Exchange Rate
= Number of HSI-PWLY x (27,000.00 - 24,668.00) x (1/5000) x HKD1 x RM/HKD 0.5136
= Number of HSI-PWLY x RM0.2395
The Closing Level of 24,668.00 was determined based on the final settlement price for settling the corresponding spot-month index futures contracts on the Expiry Date.
The Cash Settlement Amount shall be made by way of cheque or such other mode as may be approved by Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad and determined by us, within 7 market days from the Expiry Date. The cheques will be delivered to holders of HSI-PWLY by ordinary post.
