Pursuant to Paragraph 9.03 of the Main Market Listing Requirement, the Company wishes to announce that on 25 May 2026, Shah Alam City Centre Sdn Bhd ("SACC"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company received notice of additional assessment from the Director General of Inland Revenue for additional taxes with penalties amounting to RM9,596,316.04 ("Notice").
The Notice issued to SACC for the amount of RM9,596,316.04 was for Year of Assessment 2024 in relation to compensation monies received in December 2023 under the Land Acquisition Act 1960.
After taking into account the advice from both the Company's tax consultant and solicitors, SACC believes that there are reasonable grounds to appeal and contest the basis of the assessments. Therefore, no additional provision for income tax has been made by the Company. SACC will be seeking judicial reviews and file a stay order on the Notice, besides making formal appeal to the Special Commissioner of Income Taxes ("SCIT") within the legal time frame.
Titijaya Land Berhad will continue to take all necessary actions to protect its interest and will make further announcements when there are material developments on this matter.
