| Working experience and occupation | Ms. Pang Siew May ("Ms. Pang") is a seasoned Global Transformation and Finance Leader with over 15 years of experience across audit, taxation, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and enterprise-wide finance transformation within multinational organisations.
Ms. Pang commenced her professional journey by completing the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification in 2010 at Sunway University. In 2011, she began her career at BDO Malaysia, where she built a strong technical foundation in Audit and Tax. Demonstrating consistent high performance, she progressed to Audit Senior and subsequently to GST Advisory Assistant Manager, gaining extensive exposure to regulatory, compliance, and advisory work before transitioning into industry roles.
In recognition of her academic excellence, Ms. Pang was awarded sponsorship by BDO Malaysia to pursue professional qualifications with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). She successfully completed the ICAEW examinations in 2015 and earned the Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) designation.
Since 2016, Ms. Pang has been with Shell Business Service Centre, where she has held progressively senior roles across Business Analysis, Planning and Appraisal, Financial Reporting, the Transformation Management Office, and Finance Strategy & Transformation. In her current role, she leads the governance and evolution of Shell's global Finance Process Excellence framework, driving value-based prioritisation of transformation initiatives and enabling consistent execution across finance verticals and geographies.
Ms. Pang was admitted as a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) in 2018. She further strengthened her professional credentials by attaining Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2022. |
