The Board of Directors of WCT Holdings Berhad ("WCT" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that WCT International Sdn Bhd ("WCTISB"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of WCT Berhad ("WCTB"), which in turn is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, jointly together with Construction General Conctracting House Ltd. ("CGCH"), a company incorporated in UAE,  in a 50:50 unincorporated joint venture ("CGC-WCT Joint Venture" or the "Joint Venture") have on 18 June 2026 accepted the Sub-Contract Letter of Award issued by CGCH to the Joint Venture, to jointly undertake, execute and complete the construction works (the "Sub-Contract Works") for the project, owned and developed by Aldar Development LLC - O.P.C. (the "Employer"), known as "Yas Living Main Works Package - The Construction and Completion of a Commercial & Residential Building with 12 Levels in Plot C39 and with Basements 1 and 2 in Phase 1 and two (2) Commercial & Residential Buildings, both with 12 Levels each, in Plot C38 and with Basements 1 and 2 in Phase 2" in Abu Dhabi, UAE (the "Project"), for a sub-contract sum of AED479,000,000.00 (equivalent to approximately RM528,990,835) (the "Sub-Contract"). 

The scope of the Sub-Contract Works includes all non-foundational structural works, architectural works, mechanical, electrical and plumbing works, and external works for the Project. Foundational works including piling, excavation etc., will be executed by others.

Following the acceptance of the Sub-Contract, WCTISB and CGCH shall as soon as reasonably practicable thereafter, either directly or through their respective wholly owned subsidiaries, incorporate an incorporated Joint Venture Company (on 50:50 basis), to enter into the formal Sub-Contract with CGCH, to undertake and execute the Sub-Contract Works.

The Sub-Contract Works is expected to commence in Q3 of 2026 and are to be completed within 972 days from the commencement thereof.

None of the Directors or major shareholders of the Company or persons connected with them has any interest, direct or indirect, in the Sub-Contract.
