Pursuant to paragraph 15.02 of the Rules on Take-overs, Mergers and Compulsory Acquisitions and the letter of consent dated 17 August 2026 from the Securities Commission Malaysia, approval has been granted for resignation ahead of the first closing date of the take-over offer in relation to the Company.

Tan Sri Dato' Chen Kooi Chiew @ Cheng Ngi Chong was appointed to the Board on 27 September 1979 and was appointed as the Group Executive Chairman on 30 October 2006. He was a Non-Independent Non-Executive Chairman of MKH Oil Palm (East Kalimantan) Berhad. 

Other than real estate and property development, he has successfully led the Group to establish and develop oil palm plantation as one of MKH's present core businesses. To-date, he has been involved in business for about 65 years, of which 47 years were in property development and construction industry and 33 years were in plantation sector. 

In recognition of his vast knowledge and experience in the business industry, he was the recipient of "The World Green & Sustainability Icon Leadership Lifetime Achievement Award 2025", "The Great Asean Entrepreneur Award 2024", "World Chinese Economic Summit Lifetime Achievement Award 2017" and "The International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) Malaysia Property Man of the Year 2013".

Tan Sri Dato' Chen Kooi Chiew @ Cheng Ngi Chong is the brother of Tan Sri Datuk Chen Lok Loi and Datuk Chen Fook Wah.
