Miss Rashidah commenced work in Bank Negara Malaysia ("BNM") on 1 April 1979 starting with the Investment Department. She was also attached to the Export Credit Division in the Investment Department.

In November 1984, she was selected to participate in a program sponsored by the British Malaysian Trade and Industry Association (BMITA). The program was conducted with the participation of Institut Tadbiran Awam Negara and the London Business School. BMITA arranged for her to be seconded to the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation for one (1) year.

Upon completion, she returned to BNM to resume her career there. In June 1986, she was attached to the Bank Regulation Department where she was handling regulatory matters involving licensed finance companies. In 1993, she was transferred to the Legal Department of BNM.

She resigned from her position as Senior Assistant Manager in BNM in 1995 and commenced her professional legal career with Messrs. Nik Saghir & Ismail. In 2004, she left the firm to join Messrs. Michael Chen Gan Muzaffar and Azwar. In May 2004, she was one of the founding partners of the firm, Messrs. Rashidah Muzaffar & Azwar.

Subsequently, she left and joined Messrs. Edlin Ghazaly & Associates. In January 2018, she opted to join Saiful Roger & Co as legal assistant. She has been appointed as a President of the Consumer Tribunal in Malaysia for the period from 15 April 2018 to 14 April 2020.
