| Working experience and occupation | Encik Abdul Halim bin Jantan sits on the board of various private companies. As a 40 year old veteran in the practice of Risk Management and Risk Transfer, the art and science of developing an insurance solution has always been a passionate and enjoyable part of his life. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Sterling Insurance Brokers Sdn Bhd (Sterling), an Insurance Broking and Consulting company. Sterling is a Bumiputra owned company and licensed and registered by the Ministry of Finance as one of their Bumiputra contractors. Given over 40 years of elaborate and intensive formative years, Sterling has developed into being one of the leading local specialist insurance brokers in the Power Generation Industry (IPPs), Financial Institutions, Utilities, Marine, Energy and Large Infrastructure Projects. Sterling has provided services beyond transactional broker to large corporations which include;Lenders Advisory Role, Risks Management Practice and Business Continuity Management Plan, Differentiated Employee Benefit Solutions and Alternative Risks Transfer Solutions. Some notable clients of Sterling include;Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), UEM Group Berhad, Malaysian Resources Corporation Bhd, Malakoff Corporation Berhad, SME Bank Berhad, Asian Finance Bank, Indah Water Konsortium (IWK), Syarikat Perumahan Nasional Berhad and Syarikat Prasarana Negara (RapidKL).
