Dato' Lee Hau Hian is the Managing Director of Batu Kawan Berhad ("BKB") and a Director of Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad ("KLK"), both companies are listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. BKB is a major shareholder of KLK, one of the leading palm oil producers in the region and involved in oleochemicals and property development.

He is also a Director of Synthomer plc, a company listed on the London Stock Exchange and the President of the Perak Chinese Maternity Association. In addition, he also serves as a trustee of Yayasan De La Salle, Yayasan KLK and Tan Sri Lee Loy Seng Foundation.

Dato' Lee Hau Hian is the brother of Tan Sri Dato' Seri Lee Oi Hian who is a major shareholder of Chemical Company of Malaysia Berhad ("CCM"). He is also deemed connected with Wan Hin Investments Sdn Bhd which is the holding company of Arusha Enterprise Sdn Bhd, both being major shareholders of CCM.
