The Board of Directors of AMRB would like to record its sincerest appreciation and gratitude to Encik Shaharuddin bin Rahmad (Encik Shaharuddin) for his outstanding efforts and countless contribution to the Company over the years. Notwithstanding Encik Shaharuddins retirement as Group Chief Operating Officer (GCOO) and resignation as Non Independent Executive Director (NIED) of the Company effective today, the Board would like to give assurance that the Companys business operations will not be disrupted. Although Encik Shaharuddin has relinquished his positions in Alam Maritim Resources Berhad, Encik Shaharuddin continues to be a substantial shareholder of the Company by virtue of his indirect shareholding in SAR Venture Holdings (M) Sdn Bhd pursuant to Section 8(4) of the Companies Act 2016. In the interim, the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Company, Datuk Azmi bin Ahmad, will assume the GCOOs role until a suitable replacement is appointed. |
