HIGHTEC - Notice of Book Closure

SUBDIVISION OF EVERY 1 EXISTING ORDINARY SHARE IN KUMPULAN H & L HIGH-TECH BERHAD ("H&L") ("H&L SHARE(S)" OR "SHARE(S)") HELD AT 5.00 P.M. ON 3 SEPTEMBER 2021 ("ENTITLEMENT DATE") INTO 3 H&L SHARES ("SUBDIVIDED SHARES") ("SHARE SPLIT")
 

Kindly be advised of the following : 

1)  The above Company's securities will be traded and quoted "Ex - Offer” as from: 2 Sep 2021
2)  The last date of lodgment : 3 Sep 2021
 

Remarks 1:

"Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd would like to clarify that on the basis of settlement taking place after 3 Sep 2021 with share split of HIGHTEC shares, any shareholder who is entitled to receive HIGHTEC shares arising from the share split exercise, may sell any or all of his HIGHTEC shares beginning the Ex-Date (2 Sep 2021).  
 
For example, if Mr X purchases 100 HIGHTEC shares on cum basis on 1 Sep 2021, Mr X should receive 100 shares on 3 Sep 2021. As a result of the share split, 100 HIGHTEC shares will be split into 300 shares in Mr X's CDS account on the night of 3 Sep 2021 being the Book Closing Date. Therefore, Mr X can sell the share split shares of 300 on or after the Ex-Date ie from 2 Sep 2021 onwards."

Remarks 2:

The actual number of Subdivided Shares to be issued would depend on the total number of issued Shares on the Entitlement Date.

The Subdivided Shares will be listed and quoted on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Bursa Securities") on 6 September 2021, being the next market day following the Entitlement Date.

The notices of allotment for the Subdivided Shares will be despatched to the entitled shareholders not later than 4 market days after the date of listing and quotation of the Subdivided Shares on Main Market of Bursa Securities.
