We refer to the Company’s announcement made on 9 August 2021 and 20 August 2021 in relation to the postponement of the Thirty-Seventh Annual General Meeting (“37th AGM”) of the Company and proposed share split of every 1 existing ordinary share in Widetech into 5 subdivided ordinary shares in Widetech (“Proposed Share Split”) respectively.

Widetech wishes to inform that the Companies Commission of Malaysia has granted approval on extension of time up to 31 December 2021 for the Company to hold the 37th AGM.

In light of the Company’s intention to undertake the Proposed Share Split which would require the approval of shareholders at a general meeting, the Board of Widetech has decided to hold an extraordinary general meeting (“EGM”) immediately after the 37th AGM on the same day for cost efficiency.

Therefore, the Notice of the postponed 37th AGM and Notice of EGM will be sent to our shareholders upon the date is determined in due course. Shareholders are reminded to monitor the Company’s website and announcement from time to time for any update on the above.
