The Board of Directors of JOE wishes to announce that the Company had on 5 October 2021 received a notice in writing dated 28 September 2021 pursuant to Section 281(1) of the Companies Act, 2016 (“CA 2016”) from Messrs. RSM Malaysia ("RSM") on their resignation as Auditors of the Company. Pursuant to Section 281(2) of the CA 2016, RSM's term of office will end after twenty-one days from 28 September 2021. The resignation of RSM is on a voluntary basis.
Save for the above, the Board is not aware of any matter that need to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of the Company.
The Company will appoint another audit firm as the new auditors of the Company and will make an immediate announcement upon the finalisation of appointment of the new Auditors.
