Dato' Mohamad Hanafiah Zakaria, is an experienced former Deputy Public Prosecutor / Senior Federal Counsel with a demonstrated history of working in the legal sector of the Malaysian government service with more than 35 years of experience. Skilled in Criminal Prosecution and General Litigation. Dato' Mohamad Hanafiah obtained a Bachelor of Laws with Honours Degree from the University of Malaya.

Dato' Mohamad Hanafiah has helmed various positions whilst in the Judicial and Legal Service of Malaysia such as Solicitor General III of Malaysia, Head of Appellate & Trials at the Attorney General's Chambers, Deputy Head of Prosecution (Operation) at the Attorney General's Chambers and once a Magistrate in the district of Kampar, Perak and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur.

Prior to Dato' Mohamad Hanafiah's retirement from the Malaysian Judicial & Legal Service, he was the Director General of the Judicial and Legal Training Institute under the Prime Minister's Department and was also a Board Member of the National Higher Education Fund Corporation of Malaysia representing the Attorney General of Malaysia.

In recognition of Dato' Mohamad Hanafiah's countless contribution to the Malaysian Civil Service and the nation as a whole, he was made a Knight Commander of the Order of the Crown of Terengganu (D.P.M.T.) in 2012 which awarded him the honourific title Dato. Dato' Mohamad Hanafiah was also made a Member of the Order of Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah (A.S.A.).

Post-retirement, Dato' Mohamad Hanafiah is currently an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya practising under the name and style of Messrs. Mohamad Hanafiah Zakaria based in Greater Kuala Lumpur. Dato' Mohamad Hanafiah Zakaria is also an Independent Non-Executive Director in Caely Holding Bhd.
