We are pleased to announce that CHALCO-C5 has expired at 9.00 a.m. on 27 January 2023 ("Expiry Date") and the Holders shall be entitled to the Cash Settlement Amount (per CHALCO-C5) (if the said amount is greater than zero).

The Settlement Price has been determined at HKD4.0240 being the arithmetic mean of the closing price of CHALCO Shares on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong for the five (5) scheduled market days prior to and including the market day before the Expiry Date.  
The Cash Settlement Amount shall be converted to RM prior to payment, using the prevailing rate of exchange being HKD/MYR0.5421 on the Exercise Date at or about 5.00 p.m. Malaysia time ("Settlement Exchange Rate").

Cash Settlement Amount :

= {(Settlement Price - Exercise Price) / Exercise Ratio} x Settlement Exchange Rate x Number of CHALCO-C5 exercised - 0.30%

= {(HKD4.0240 - HKD3.5000) / 5 } x 0.5421 x Number of CHALCO-C5 exercised - 0.30%

= HKD0.1048 x 0.5421 x Number of CHALCO-C5 exercised - 0.30%

= RM 0.0568 x Number of CHALCO-C5 exercised - 0.30%

Payment of the Cash Settlement Amount shall be made via the eDividend or Cash Redemption Payment Service by Bursa Malaysia Depository into the bank account of the Holders as provided in the Record of Depositors within seven (7) Market Days following the Expiry Date. Bank cheques shall be issued in favour of the Holders whose bank account information is not available in the Record of Depositors.
