We refer to the announcement dated 5 December 2016 in relation to the close of the Offer.

The Board of Directors of Maypak wishes to announce that Maypak has today received the attached press release from RHB Investment Bank Berhad, on behalf of the Offeror, informing that the Offeror had, on 22 December 2016, despatched the notice in accordance with Subsection 223(2) of the CMSA to the shareholders of Maypak who have not accepted the Offer (“Dissenting Shareholders”), informing them that they may exercise their rights to require the Offeror to acquire the Maypak Shares held by them.

Pursuant to Subections 223(1), 223(3) and 224(3) of the CMSA, any Dissenting Shareholders may give notice to the Offeror requiring the Offeror to acquire the Maypak Shares held by them on or before 6 March 2017, being a date which is at least three (3) months from the close of the Offer, on the same terms and conditions of the Offer as set out in the offer document date 6 October 2016 and the subsequent notifications in relation to the Offer or such other terms as may be agreed by the Offeror and the Dissenting Shareholder, or as the High Court, on an application made to it by the Dissenting Shareholder(s) or by the Offeror, thinks fit to order.
