The Board of Directors of the Company wishes to announce that a Notice pursuant to Section 218(2)(a) of the Companies Act, 1965 (“Notice”) has been served on Hai San Ice Industries Sdn Bhd (“HSIISB”), the wholly-owned subsidiary of Haisan by Messrs. Shook Lin & Bok, who is acting on behalf of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (“TNB”), demanding payment of RM3,224,139.19 (“Debt”). There is no interest rate stated under the Notice.
The Company is negotiating with TNB in relation to the Notice and will announce further developments on the above matter in due course.
