Mr. Hong retired as the Managing Director of SAP Malaysia on 31 December 2022. Currently, he is a Strategic Advisor to Brandt International and Strateq Group of companies. Additionally, he serves as the Chief Commercial Officer of Optivolve Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based startup organization.

During his time as the Managing Director/CEO of SAP Malaysia, Mr. Hong was responsible for overseeing the development of the company's business strategy and operations. He played a crucial role in accelerating SAP Malaysia's recognition as the Experience Company powered by the Intelligent Enterprise. This involved breaking down organizational silos and adopting dynamic and simplified cross-business functional processes to deliver optimal experiences across the entire organization.

Prior to his role at SAP Malaysia, Mr. Hong had extensive experience as the MD/CEO of Multinational corporations (MNCs) at country and regional levels. This includes his tenure at Informix Malaysia, Genesys South East Asia, SS&C Technologies South Asia, and as the Country General Manager for IBM Software Group.

Mr. Hong's tenure as the Managing Director/CEO of SAP Malaysia showcased his exceptional leadership skills and strategic vision. Under his guidance, SAP Malaysia became renowned as the Experience Company powered by the Intelligent Enterprise, promoting cross-functional collaboration and delivering exceptional experiences throughout the entire organization.

Mr. Hong had promoted diversity at SAP as the Executive Sponsor of SAPs Regional Business Women Network. On the youth front, he led SAP Malaysia in collaborating with Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) on the MyUniAlliance programme which provides training for some three thousand students per year.
