We refer to the announcements dated 16 April 2024, 22 April 2024, 13 May 2024 and 20 May 2024. Unless otherwise stated, the definitions and terms used herein shall have the same meaning as those defined in that announcement.
The Board of Directors of Comfort Gloves Berhad (“CGB”) wishes to announce that on 5 June 2024, GQ attended a case management before the High Court. Since CRGI and GQ’s judicial review applications are pending before two High Court judges, the parties agreed that a High Court judge should hear both proceedings to save time and resources. In the same vein, the DGIR gave an undertaking to the High Court that the DGIR will not proceed with any recovery action against GQ pending the disposal of the judicial review application in place of hearing GQ’s stay application. The High Court set the next case management on 24 June 2024 for GQ to update the High Court on the status of the judicial review proceedings for CRGI and GQ.
The Company will provide updates from time to time of any material development on this matter.
