| Working experience and occupation | Datuk Ab.Hamid graduated with a General Certificate of Education from University of Cambridge in collaboration with University of Malaya in 1977. He began his career as a government security officer in the year 1978 and left the civil service as Deputy Director General of Chief Government Security Office (CGSO), Prime Ministers Department in April 2014. He attended several management and security courses at the Royal Institute of Public Administration (RIPA) in London in 1992 and 1995, as well as at INTAN Kuala Lumpur and the special branch school in 1978. He has contributed vastly in the development of Information Communication Technology (ICT) Security Policy and protective security covering training, directives of ICT Security and formulating manual Malaysian Public Sector Management of Information and Communication Technology Handbook (MyMis). He headed the security team during planning and construction of government complexes in Putrajaya. He sits on the board of several subsidiary companies of Datasonic Group Berhad. He is also a Director of Safe Shield Security Sdn Bhd. |
