| Working experience and occupation | Ilham Binti Umar Thabii commenced her pupillage at Messrs. Zain & Co. from April 2010 to January 2011. She was admitted to the High Court of Malaysia as an Advocate and Solicitor in January 2011. After she completed her pupillage, she left Messrs. Zain & Co and took a break from her career. She resumed her career in August 2011 when she joined Messrs. Mazlan & Associates as a Legal Assistant of the corporate department, which handled mergers and acquisitions, capital markets proposals and establishment of private equity funds. She resigned from Messrs. Mazlan & Associates in June 2013 and took a break from her career. In September 2013, she joined Messrs. Cyril & Co (later known as Cyril Zhafri & Co) as a Partner where she was involved in handling civil litigation cases. In December 2014, she left Messrs. Cyril & Co and co-founded a law firm known as Messrs. Ilham Lee in January 2015. As the co-founder and a Partner of the firm, she provides legal advisory services for initial public offering, mergers and acquisitions, private equity funds, real estate and capital markets. |
