We refer to our announcements dated 1 April 2016, 6 November 2017, 22 January 2019, 22 February 2019, 30 August 2019, 25 November 2019, 15 September 2020, 31 March 2021, 3 March 2022, 24 June 2022, 12 November 2024 and 10 December 2024 in relation to the above matter.
The Board of Directors of the Manager wishes to announce that on 13 December 2024, the Trustee and the Manager have remitted the sum of RM8,087,684.45, which represents the amount payable under the judgment by Honourable Judge Dato’ Ahmad Shahrir bin Mohd Salleh dated 12 November 2024, directly into Metroplex's bank account. This sum includes interest payable on the judgment amount calculated up to 13 December 2024 along with costs and allocatur fee.
The aforementioned payment is made without prejudice to the Trustee and Manager’s appeal to the Court of Appeal, as per the Notice of Appeal dated 10 December 2024.
