Sime Darby Berhad (“Sime”) wishes to announce that UMW Ace (BVI) Ltd (“UAB”), an indirect 70%-owned subsidiary of Sime incorporated in the British Virgin Islands (“BVI”), was placed under members’ voluntary liquidation on 14 October 2024 in accordance with the BVI Business Companies Act, 2004.

Eldon Solomon of Palm Grove House, P.O. Box 438, Road Town, Tortola, BVI was appointed as the liquidator of UAB.

The liquidation of UAB will not have a material effect on the earnings or net assets of the Sime Group for the financial year ending 30 June 2025. None of the Directors or major shareholders of Sime or persons connected with them has any interest, direct or indirect, in the said liquidation.
