| Working experience and occupation | Chai Lai Sim has over 30 years of experience in audit, corporate finance, capital management strategy including treasury, financial accounting and taxation in property development, commercial and retail property investment and hospitality industries. She began her career as an articled student with Coopers & Lybrand (now known as PriceWaterhouseCoopers) before joining Tan & Tan Developments Berhad ("Tan & Tan") as Group Financial Controller in 1993. Following the completion of the merger between Tan & Tan and IGB Corporation Berhad ("IGBC") in 2002, she was appointed as Group Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") of IGBC. After the privatisation of IGBC by IGB Berhad ("IGB") on 16 March 2018, she was appointed as Group CFO of IGB until her retirement on 30 April 2024. Chai Lai Sim had also previously served as CFO of IGB REIT Management Sdn Bhd since the listings of IGB REIT and IGB Commercial REIT on 21 September 2012 and 20 September 2021, respectively, until her retirement on 30 April 2024. |
