| Working experience and occupation | Dato' Sr Mohd Zaid Bin Zakaria has served the government and been involved in the construction industry for over 34 years, including 14 years as a Quantity Surveyor at the Public Works Department (JKR). Dato' Sr Mohd Zaid was appointed as the Chief Executive of the Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB) in 2023. Prior to this, he served as the Deputy Chief Executive I and has been with the organisation for 22 years. Throughout his tenure, he has led various key sectors, including the Technology Development Sector, Contractor & Levy Sector, and the Enforcement Sector, and also served as the State Director of CIDB Selangor. In addition to playing a key role in formulating policies and strategic direction for CIDB in spearheading the development of the national construction industry, he also actively contributes to professional bodies such as the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM) and the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM). |
