INTRODUCTION
Reference is made to the use of proceeds raised from the IPO as disclosed in the Company’s Prospectus dated 6 July 2022 (“Prospectus”) that was issued in conjunction with the Company’s listing on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”) on 26 July 2022. The Company had raised total gross proceeds of approximately RM31.11 million from the IPO (“IPO Proceeds”). 

 
As at 31 May 2025, being the latest practicable date prior to the date of this announcement (“LPD”), UMC and its subsidiaries (“Group”) have utilised approximately RM24.31 million of the total IPO Proceeds and a balance amount of approximately RM6.80 million has yet to be utilised (“Unutilised IPO Proceeds”).

The board of directors of UMC (“Board”) wishes to announce that the Board has deliberated and resolved to vary and extend the timeframe for the utilisation of the Unutilised  IPO Proceeds of approximately RM6.80 million to partially fund the purchase of machinery and system, and expansion of cleanroom, repayment of bank borrowings and for working capital purposes (“Variation and Extension”).
