YAM Tengku Muhammad Iskandar Ri'ayatuddin Shah ibni Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah ("YAM Tengku Arif Bendahara") is the son of Kebawah Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatudin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

YAM Tengku Arif Bendahara attended the Caldicott Preparatory School in Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom from 2007 to 2010, and continued his A Levels in Harrow School in London, United Kingdom. In 2015 to 2018, YAM Tengku Arif Bendahara pursued his degree in International Business Management at Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, United Kingdom and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from University of Buckingham, in Buckingham, United Kingdom in 2020.

Additionally, in 2015, YAM Tengku Arif Bendahara had undertaken a placement at the Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia focused mainly on Economics, Trade and Regional Integration aspects while gaining experience in Social Policy and National Integration as well as Foreign Policy and Security Studies.

YAM Tengku Arif Bendahara has been part of many charitable programmes stemming from his concern for the welfare of the community, especially in his home state of Pahang. YAM Tengku Arif Bendahara is also passionate about sports such as football, polo and golf.
