I thought that Eksons was in a bad shape as its plywood business was dependent on 3rd party timber supplies. You can imagine the timber companies giving priority to thier own plywood operations making life hard for Eksons. (Refer to https://www.i4value.asia/2023/10/eksons-is-now-value-trap-oct-2023.html#more.) But when I compared the past 10 years ROE of these 2 companies, I found that Auro performance was worse.
