KUALA LUMPUR (March 21): PTT Synergy Group Bhd secured an RM299 million contract to build the Palekbang-Kota Bharu bridge and connecting roads at Jajahan Tumpat and Jajahan Kota Bharu, Kelantan.

PTT Synergy’s wholly owned unit Pembinaan Tetap Teguh Sdn Bhd accepted the letter of award for the job from Prima Wahyu Sdn Bhd on Thursday.

Works will start next Monday (March 25) and should be completed by Sept 15, 2026, said the integrated construction and property investment group in a stock exchange filing.

In a separate announcement, PTT Synergy said Pembinaan Tetap Teguh had entered into a collaboration agreement with Prima Wahyu to explore the possibility of collaborating to secure construction works in Peninsula Malaysia’s East Coast region.

Prima Wahyu is a construction company that is 67%-owned by Noruzzaman Che Idris and 33%-owned by Wan Afandi Wan Ahmed. It also provides wholesale and retail supplies for a wide range of hardware and construction materials, according to PTT Synergy.

“The collaboration can be seen as synergy-of-experts, where both parties would pool and contribute in their respective fields of expertise for the collaboration,” said PTT Synergy.

“Besides that, this collaboration will enable Pembinaan Tetap Teguh to participate and further expand its presence and business opportunities in the East Coast region,” it added.

PTT Synergy is 56%-controlled by its executive chairman Datuk Abd Rahim Jaafar, deputy chairman Teo Swee Leng and managing director Teo Swee Phin, through their private vehicle Aim Tetap Teguh Group Sdn Bhd.

PTT Synergy shares closed unchanged at RM1.23 on Thursday, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM225.26 million.
