KUALA LUMPUR: Paragon Globe Bhd (PGB) is entering 2026 on a confident footing, supported by strong earnings momentum in the first half of its financial year 2026 (FY2026) and a development pipeline well positioned to benefit from Johor's expanding industrial and urban markets.

For the six months ended Sept 30, 2025 (6M FY2026), PGB recorded revenue of RM108.11 million, representing a 28.6 per cent year-on-year increase. Net profit more than doubled, rising 102 per cent year-on-year to RM29.94 million.

The improved performance was largely driven by the recognition of land sales in Desa Cemerlang, alongside continued industrial property sales, including detached factories and shop offices in Pekan Nanas.

Executive chairman Datuk Sri Edwin Tan Pei Seng said the company's first-half performance reflects steady execution across its industrial developments, supported by favourable demand conditions in Johor.

"The improvement in earnings provides a solid base as we move into 2026. Johor continues to benefit from structural growth drivers, and our focus remains on disciplined development, prudent cost management and delivering projects that generate sustainable value over the medium term," he said.

This year, he said PGB remains focused on balanced execution, sustaining near-term earnings while advancing longer-term developments, and positioning itself to benefit from Johor's continued economic expansion.

Johor remains central to PGB's growth strategy. The state has emerged as one of Malaysia's most active industrial markets, supported by its proximity to Singapore, established industrial estates and improving cross-border connectivity. It continues to attract manufacturing and logistics investments amid regional supply chain realignment and the development of the Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ).

Tan noted that PGB's industrial developments in Desa Cemerlang and Pekan Nanas are located within established industrial corridors and continue to attract interest from both multinational and domestic companies.

These projects remain key earnings contributors, providing near-term revenue visibility while allowing the group to optimise its landbank, he said.

PGB has begun broadening its development profile. In 2025, the company launched Calia Residences by PGB, its first high-rise residential project in Danga Bay, Johor Bahru, marking its entry into the urban residential segment.

While the project has yet to contribute to earnings, it represents a strategic expansion aimed at capturing medium-term residential demand in Johor Bahru's waterfront and city-fringe areas.

Looking ahead, PGB is also progressing plans for Kensington Parkview by PGB in Iskandar Puteri, a mixed-use development comprising residential and commercial components, as well as The Iconic by PGB in Johor Bahru city centre. These projects are expected to strengthen the company's longer-term revenue visibility and complement its established industrial portfolio.
