KKB Engineering bags RM80m supply orders
KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 20): KKB Engineering Bhd (KL:KKB) has secured six contracts worth a total of RM80 million to supply steel pipes, fittings, poles and galvanised structural components.
The Sarawak-based steel fabrication and engineering group said in a bourse filing Tuesday (Jan 20) that it had received orders from QC Construction & Engineering Sdn Bhd, Bumia Sdn Bhd and EPR (Kuching) Sdn Bhd for the supply of mild steel cement-lined (MSCL) pipes and specials. It had also secured an order from Global Rail Sdn Bhd for the supply, fabrication and hot-dip galvanising of AP poles and VMISS rectangular posts.
Meanwhile, its subsidiaries Harum Bidang Sdn Bhd and KKB Industries (Sabah) Sdn Bhd have bagged orders from Chun Jun Piling Sdn Bhd and Citic Construction (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd for the supply of mild steel (MS) pipes and MSCL pipes respectively.
According to KKB Engineering, the order from QC is scheduled for delivery over four quarters from the second quarter of 2026 (2Q2026) to 1Q2027 while Global Rail’s order is expected to be completed in 2Q2026. Orders from Bumia, EPR, Chun Jun Piling and Citic Construction are slated for delivery within 3Q2026, subject to variation orders, it said.
Earlier this month, KKB Engineering secured a minor engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd valued at RM212 million.
Shares of KKB Engineering were unchanged at RM1.18 at the time of writing, giving it a market capitalisation of RM340.7 million.
